in reality a living
and radiant presence
of Christ.' Constitution 47
In 2013 the Redemptoristine Nuns moved to Beacon, New York, to share the Carmelite Monastery of the Incarnation.
Our original monastery of Our Mother of Perpetual Help, was the first Redemptoristines erected in the United States,
in 1957 and was situated on the property of the Redemptorists’ seminary of Mount St. Alphonsus, Esopus, New York which later became a Redemptorist retreat center.
We continue our Redemptoristine life of prayer as a Living Memory of Jesus among our Carmelite Sisters. Together, we share in mutual charity an affinity and compatibility found in our traditions of prayer, work and leisure for the benefit and enrichment of both our communities and for the salvation of the world.
